A Fracking Good Story
Carbon dioxide emissions in the U.S. are at their lowest level in 20 years. It’s not because of wind or solar power.

Friend, you are playing loose with the lives of the next 200 billion kids. Have you no soul? It is impossible that you don't know that depending on the amount of seepage, natural gas is dirtier, more warming, than coal, and that best estimates so far are that the seepage currently in progress makes natural gas just as dirty, just as destructive, just as deadly as the coal and gas it is replacing. You know that. How much are they paying you to not say it? Or is it all ego with you? My God. Yes, the most under reported, criminally underreported story of 2012 is natural gas seepage (natural gas, methane, being up to 100 times more warming than CO2 in the first 10 years (the only years that really matter now)) and the regulation or lack thereof to eliminate all but the smallest fraction thereof. But you've been around. SHAME on you for leaving this out. CRIMINAL MAL-PRACTICE.
And (cuz 1st comment didn't seem to show, at first)
Bjorn, you are playing loose with the lives of the next 200 billion children. Have you no Soul? You know of it full well. Why did you leave off that at current levels of seepage natural gas is AS LEATHAL, AS DIRTY AS COAL??? My God man. Whatever amount of money the fossil fuel industry is paying you isn't worth destroying the future of humanity, the next 200 billion kids? It isn't that your ego is that twisted, is it? And Slate, have you no editorial review?
